  • Thank you Lisa

My therapist recommended this podcast after my father's death and I'm finding it really helpful. Sometimes grief feels like being alone and that the world is going on without you and Lisa talks about a lot of these feelings and just knowing that there are other people out there feeling the same way helps with the loneliness.

  • Wonderful podcast

Lisa is not only a terrific interviewer and compassionate person, she has guests that will change your life as well as your grief journey. My daughter was murdered in 2024 by her estranged and deranged husband, and the episodes of this podcast have helped me navigate through dark times and profound sadness. My bookshelf is certainly more crowded now with the purchases of the books authored by Lisa and her guests. Can’t recommend this podcast enough!!

  • Thank you

I lost two brothers to suicide. This podcast helps me piece together my thoughts that I don’t have words for yet. Every episode is different. Each episode is very informative and spoke from the words of each guest. This is a place that I can go, when I am feeling alone and isolated in my grief. Thank you.

  • Thanks for holding my hand while I miss my Mom

My Mom died this year and listening to your podcast has helped me deal with the many overwhelming feelings - and I also appreciate the encouragement to be kinder to myself in the process. I think of Mom every day and sometimes I want someone to be with me on the journey, and that’s when I listen and learn from you and your many generous guests. Thank you for all that you do for others. It truly helps.

Sandi Serling | Fear Unzipped
Q: What advice would you give someone who wants to connect with a loved one who has passed?
Be open, loosen the grip on expectations, and invite signs in whatever form they come; talk aloud to the loved one and notice subtle reminders like songs or animals, knowing that energy can be present in many unexpected ways.
Sandi Serling | Fear Unzipped
Q: What role does intuition play in managing grief, and how can listeners begin to access it?
Intuition arrives as a whisper; with patience, journaling, and paying attention to signs in nature and daily life, people can start a relationship with their intuition that helps them navigate grief without ignoring emotion.
Sandi Serling | Fear Unzipped
Q: How did your early experiences with anxiety influence your path toward neuroscience and your work with grief and intuition?
Early sensitivity to others' energies and a high level of anxiety pushed me to study the brain; neuroscience gave me the tools to reframe fear as information and to cultivate intentional practices that support grief, intuition, and presence.
Lizzie Pickering | When Grief Equals Love

Lizzie recounts Harry's life, his SMA diagnosis, his years with the family, and how the experience shaped their approach to care, community support, and the evolving relationship with him and later with grief itself.

Q: What have you learned about the nature of your own grief experience?
The nature of grief is unique and multifaceted, influenced heavily by the circumstances of loss and societal perceptions.
