  • Yeah no good

Keep rating themselves highly, repeating same snow or debt recycling stories. Far too many commercials, lied is too short to listen to them. Time to unfollow Thanks anyway

  • Privileged Rambling Disguised as Money Advice

I really wanted to enjoy this podcast, but it’s becoming impossible to get past how often Tash talks about her privileged lifestyle and how much money she makes. It’s tone-deaf, repetitive, and honestly a bit nauseating. Instead of offering relatable, grounded advice, it often comes across as bragging disguised as financial guidance. Not the “get rich slow” energy I was hoping for.

  • Speaking to quickly

Podcast sounds like the speech has been sped up. Not to be rude but they sr talking so fast and it sounds so sped up that they sound like chipmunks.

  • Running out of ideas now

The unhinged money hacks episode was a real low. Taking toilet paper from work? Scanning the barcode of a cheaper product? Hello, this is what you call stealing. Sure, you might not condone this so why even discuss?

Tash speaks so fast in this episode I thought I had sped it up to 2x.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

263. The super myths costing you money
Q: How do fees typically break down in a typical super fund, and why should listeners care beyond the label?
Fees usually include admin, investment, and sometimes transaction fees; understanding the total yearly percentage helps compare funds accurately and protect long-term returns, since high fees erode compounding over time.
263. The super myths costing you money
Q: Beck, why is many Australians' understanding of super so low, and what can be done about it?
The discussion highlights that financial literacy starts early, that people often overlook super because it feels distant, and that practical steps—like using apps, understanding fees, and engaging with the investment strategy—can demystify it and empower better decisions.
258. 36% of Australians are making this super mistake
Q: How long does the death benefit claim process take in simple versus complex cases?
Simple cases with a binding nomination can take around three months if documents are in order; complex cases with multiple claimants and relationships can extend to a year or more.
258. 36% of Australians are making this super mistake
Q: What happens if there is no nomination or if relationships change over time?
Without a valid nomination, the fund will assess based on dependents, guardians, or the estate, and disputes can arise, potentially leading to disputes reviewed by internal processes or AFCA; timely updates are crucial.
258. 36% of Australians are making this super mistake
Q: Kate, can you actually do that? (binding death nomination)
A binding death nomination is binding on the fund if it's a valid nomination and the nominated person is a valid dependent; otherwise it may be invalid, requiring renewal or adjustment to align with relationships and dependents.
