  • Anti men, again.

Bit sick of the female finance presenters being all anti man, yet to find a female one that doesn’t “grind the axe” during many of their episodes. I’m single dad, raised a daughter, she bought a house pre-20, now works in the greater financial system, and also sick of “dad bashing” Maybe do a review of how single dads are alienated from the welfare system by application of the legislation, or how all men average weekly earnings is applied to the system by default regardless of your income capaci... more

  • How much experience to do this

Does the host have any significant knowledge or experience in life or trading to even be hosting this. Perhaps the podcast should be renamed to remove the references to finance. Likely better aligned to lifestyle.

  • Love the real talk

Love the real talk from a woman in finance plus, seems to bang on less about herself than in other podcasts on finance run by the bros, which I really appreciate as it’s more listener focussed rather than “I’m running a business podcast and I have staff and board” focussed.

This has the potential to be the biggest podcast in finance if the focus can be squarely upon telling us what we don’t know that can help the listener. This means getting a journalist intern perhaps.

Q: How should I think about goals and money when a windfall or inheritance arrives?
Break the money into portions: cover emergencies, pay off high-interest debt, consider education or upskilling, and set aside a portion for investments; avoid impulse spending on vacations or luxury items and seek professional advice or a structured plan to preserve and grow wealth over time.
303 life updates (I'M BACK!), my new book, market chaos and your questions answered
Q: What should I consider about my emergency savings in times of inflation and market volatility?
Prioritize an emergency fund of 3–6 months (or more if uninsurable or without income protection), keep it liquid, and avoid dipping into it for non-emergencies; align goals with a realistic plan and consider upskilling or career moves if money is tight.
303 life updates (I'M BACK!), my new book, market chaos and your questions answered
Q: Should I move my super into cash? Until we ride the wave of this war?
General advice suggests not to rush into moving super into cash unless you are very close to retirement or have a clear, time-bound liquidity need; for those with a long time horizon, staying invested and stress-testing your plan with a financial advisor is usually suggested. Diversification and a disciplined approach, like dollar-cost averaging, can help ride out volatility.
