  • Grow up

The hosts poorly handled much of the episode with Dr Louise Newson. Reminiscent of teenage boys in a PE class trying to take a concept about women’s health seriously but reducing to jokes and shallow metaphors. I.e. one host attempts to ‘not speak on behalf of women’ when the other interrupts and says he’d feel happy to while laughing. Instead of respecting the space women need to speak for themselves, the second host uses the opportunity to center himself—highlighting how easily male voices can... more

  • Grief

Listening to this podcast now, thank you so much for talking about grief. It’s so important, I feel really passionately about that. I haven’t finished it yet, I’ve had to take a break. I just sat with my mum in palliative after a 3 year battle with Lewy body dementia, was with her when she passed, and the question around if there is a diagnosis and you’re in palliative if its less of a shock, really upset me. She was diagnosed, I knew it was coming, it doesn’t make it any less than or any easier... more

  • Too political

Good, except it’s a shame you’ll be listening and then there’s suddenly diggs at Scott Morrison or the Liberal party or conservatives generally. Alienating half the voters and excluding them from the information randomly for no reason is unfortunate.

Thanks for the episode but an enormous thank you for the caveat re sorting dopamine - the thought of a cold shower and treadmill run at 0530 was rough to hear, I’m so glad it is working for you. Thank you from someone who spent their childhood hearing versions of how are you so smart and so stupid
