Very fun!
I don’t even read sci fi or fantasy books, I just like listening to these ladies. Their voices are comforting to me for some reason and I like being in their presence. Smart and cool ladies. Thanks for this pod Renay and Ana.
Listening to Fangirl Happy Hour feels like getting a drink with the smartest ladies in genre -- so, exactly what it says on the tin! I love getting Ana and Renay's nuanced, hilarious takes on everything from Jurassic Park to werewolf fanfic.
Ana and Renay are so much fun to listen to! They're so excited about books (good and bad) and I feel like I have learned something every episode. Delightful and authentic and enthusiastic, I give this podcast a million space bees!
I have found many great books through this podcast. If you like Space Opera, realistic characters, good representation (women, POC, queer) then you'll love the recommendations. But the discussions are why I eagerly await each episode. Especially discussions about food. My mother is a preacher's daughter who grew up all across Texas and everything we do as a family is centered around food from all over but especially from the South.
