  • Hit home

In these episodes of Taylor’s podcast I really found my heart connecting deeply with some of my own desires/need to be taken care of. It can be hard to always be caring for others. I often feel a battle against a sense that I shouldn’t need to be cared for. Thanks for this, Taylor!

  • Someone Understands

This podcast has been so impactful in my life and part of a healing journey I believe God has been taking me on. It hasn’t been easy but I have received a lot of clarity from many episodes from Taylor’s podcast, most recently the one called The Reason Why You Feel Emotionally Lonely. Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Sacred Art of Slowing Down with A.C. Seiple, LCMHC
Q: Can you share what this movement looks like in practice, and maybe a first step someone can take to begin leaning into a slower pace?
The first step can be slowing down even with the act of slowing down itself; it's about getting curious about what stands in the way of that process.
The Sacred Art of Slowing Down with A.C. Seiple, LCMHC
Q: As you continue to process those words, how do you think they began to shift the way you saw yourself and your own healing?
It created space for compassion, revealing deeper connections within myself that allowed me to invite God into those spaces I previously neglected.
The Sacred Art of Slowing Down with A.C. Seiple, LCMHC
Q: Can you take us back to that moment and share what it was like for you to hear those words?
It was a moment of disconnect for me as I didn't know how to connect to those words at first, even while being a student in therapy myself.
Engaging Your Family of Origin Story
Q: What are some common misconceptions people have about looking back at family of origin experiences?
People often think, 'It wasn't that bad,' which can trivialize their experiences, or they may fear dishonoring their parents by acknowledging harm. It's important to engage with these feelings to foster growth and healing.
Engaging Your Family of Origin Story
Q: Why is it important in our relationships to reflect back on our family of origin experiences?
Not reflecting can hinder our ability to live in full freedom and can lead to accepting patterns of trauma as part of our identity instead of recognizing them as influenced by our family dynamics.
