In this special episode, I got to ask a really smart person lots of questions. Specifically, the author, voice actor, puppeteer, and science communicator Mary Robinette Kowal, author of the Lady Astronaut series— starting with The Calculating Stars, ... more
I was going to create a podcast episode on afrofuturism but I found that this genre/aesthetic/artform can speak for itself so instead I'm going to link all my research sources and then make a pledge to ensure all @FactandScifi eps from now on include... more

The host actually does her homework. Thoroughly enjoyable without getting it wrong. All too often I find the podcaster has only a Wikipedia level knowledge of this subject. This host is one of the exceptions. If I have any criticism at all, it’s that I wish the shows were longer. 5 BIG GOLD STARS!!!!!
Glad she’s started making new episodes again!

Karly’s voice is very soothing. I do not consider myself to be a “science person” however this podcast does a great job at keeping me interesting in the topics that are discussed. Karly is very knowledgeable, and I am looking forward to the next episode!

I really enjoyed the most recent episode. Lots of humour and a very interesting subject. It is great to hear about the reality behind working for NASA but also comparing it with popular movies. Go Princess Leia!
