Stories of heroes and villains, good versus (preferably conquering) evil, have always been with us, and extremely popular.
But have they always been conflated with our views of daily life and people, which seem to have become so polarised?

Hi
This was an excellent podcast and it touched me as I’ve been dealing with the need for self care over a long time. End product is I’m ok, a self employed ceramic artist, teacher of art to adults one day a week, I run an after school pottery club and day retreats for adults with my friend where we do Yoga and clay!!! I’ve been saying for years, we can’t rely on big expensive holidays to bring us happiness but to bring joy into our everyday life! I so agreed with all Nicola said. Unfortunately... more
Frances and her interviewees are a welcome accompaniment to my day, especially when I need an uplift or to be spurred on into creating but am procrastinating. Plugging in an episode and going for a quick walk usually changes my mood and gets me back at my writing desk. I then pause the input, create my own output and then enjoy listening to the rest of the episode with a rewarding cuppa and feeling of accomplishment. Thank you, Frances!
I have SO enjoyed the first series of this mellow, intelligent and interesting podcast. The guests are super and the host, Frances, is so gracious and articulate with a delicious voice I could listen to all day.
Really lovely guests with incredible insights!
Thank you for making interesting and empathetic content!
Beautifully produced, interesting guests and thought provoking discussions. I’ve learned so much through the variety of guests.
