Listening to Eliza’s podcasts, following along with her writing Instagram, and getting her email letters has been such an enriching part of my life! Her writing hits hard and it is so refreshing to hear her using her art to tackle important issues that society badly needs to be talking about. I would definitely recommend giving the podcast a listen but check out her Instagram as well if you feel like you can’t get enough :)
“Poetry that punches and soothes” is the perfect tag line for this podcast! Evocative work in every episode with the artist’s interpretation and backstory for the poems. She has a variety in subjects but each piece has a timely, hard-hitting message. Love it!
Love this girls poetry!
I’d definitely listen to her! If you’re traveling a lot her podcasts are the ones to watch!
God bless you Eliza!!
She uses her poetry to cover really hard and big topics in a way that anyone can grasp their head around to better understand and she does it so well. Her poetry is so soothing for how big her topic choices are. Also her southern accent is really nice. Excellent podcast.
I greatly connect with Eliza’s poetry and the messages behind it - it’s nice to hear that other people are experiencing the same things that are always rushing around in your own head, and are able to articulate it to a way that makes me feel more understand. I really love her cadence when she reads her work, and I think it gives you a clearer head space to learn more about yourself and how to better emphasize with others. She puts forth so much work and truly bears her soul in a way that is raw... more
Eliza is an INCREDIBLE human being, and her form of poetry is one I have never heard before. Absolutely breathtaking, full of conviction, grounded in empathy, and built on truth. This is the podcast we all need. Take a listen and I guarantee you’ll thank yourself for it.
Good poems and good explanations of good poems
and a prolific writer. Her poetry makes *me* think. It's wonderful to hear an author explain their work, getting a glimspe of the whats and whys that motivate them...looking forward to the next one!
