The host, India, does such a great job of exploring the intersection of food, history with such detail and excitement and it’s so refreshing! I love how each episode has a fresh perspective on not only cuisines, but what an important impact it plays in people’s culture and community. Can’t wait for more episodes!

  • Such a highly produced, terrific podcast

India takes us on a journey throughout every episode. Her beautiful storytelling and narration guide us on a new path of discovery through food. As a Jew with family in Israel, I admittedly listened to the Palestine episode with trepidation. I found India and her guests take to be interesting and not too provoking. There is a lot of common ground and I wish food could be more unifying rather than divisive. Still, India's narration and the sounds of the world she creates is powerful. The episode ... more

  • Love it

This is a gem of a podcast, love how it transported me back to my days in Salvador de Bahia, its streets, the bright colorful facades, the cool narrow alleys to protect yourself from the shining sunlight and the aroma of palm oil floating in the air. Brazilians love people, music and food, as passionate people do and the podcast reflects it perfectly. Also very well researched and informative, I learned a lot about the history of how its diverse communities came to be and how much food can tell ... more
