I don't usually write reviews for podcasts but I am in the hopes that this podcast will be coming back. It was great getting to hear what Dee Brown was thinking about that contest. It made me think about other contestants like Shawn Kemp and Harold Miner. I hope the podcast comes back. If not I will have to keep listening to these episodes over and over again.
Very fun podcast that really looks into the unsung moments of a key part of basketball, the dunk. Very similar to 30 for 30 documentaries. The stories cover interesting histories and stories, and if ESPN were smart, they would continue podcasts like this in the future. 5/5!
This feed is like Vincent Carter’s historic Dunk Contest run in 2000: not enough of a perfect thing. Much like the thesis of the last episode, though it might seem like a small sample size of stories, I can see this getting very creative for future podcast episodes. I’m worried that will never come to be true, so for now I’ll revel in 5 perfect stories they released.
but I agree that it’s hard to get past so much advertising. this could have been great, but as it is you kind of have to skip around to get the story.
I love this series...great stories, and re-found history.
