  • Energizing!

As a user of Cronometer, I was excited to discover the podcast and just listened to Episode 36. I loved the energy, the conversation, and the topics discussed. I learned a ton from just one episode alone. Really hoping to see more episodes in 2026 and beyond. Keep them coming!

  • Host talks about herself too much

I love Cronometer and enjoy the guests, they are great but the host is constantly talking about herself in every episode. Eliisa frequently talks about herself and her situation (yes we all know you like to run) instead of bringing up concerns that listeners who are different from her may have. It comes across as one-sided like it’s a personal meeting for her concerns, luckily the guests realize they are talking to wide audience and relay information to a wider crowd.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 44: Beyond the Bump Concussion Recovery with Fraser Sprigings
Q: How important is sleep hygiene in concussion recovery?
Sleep hygiene is crucial; routines for consistent sleep times, avoiding stimulating activities before bed, and creating a sleep-friendly environment help reduce symptom severity and support brain recovery.
Episode 44: Beyond the Bump Concussion Recovery with Fraser Sprigings
Q: Are there myths about concussions that should die soon?
There are outdated beliefs, such as grading concussions into simple categories and waiting for complete rest before returning to activity; current practice supports gradual reintroduction of light activity after a short rest period if symptoms allow.
Episode 44: Beyond the Bump Concussion Recovery with Fraser Sprigings
Q: What about creatine and its role in brain health?
Creatine is a promising area of study for brain health and mood, with some evidence suggesting potential benefits, but there is not enough robust, general guidance yet; it should be discussed with a dietitian and tailored to the individual.
Episode 44: Beyond the Bump Concussion Recovery with Fraser Sprigings
Q: Two questions about foods in particular.
The host asks about alcohol and nutrition during concussion recovery. The guest says to avoid or limit alcohol during the acute phase because it can mask symptoms and hinder recovery; in the longer term, maintain balanced nutrition with hydration and fiber-rich foods, and consider consulting a dietitian for personalized guidance.
Episode 45: AI, Nutrition & Trust with Cronometer Founder & CEO Aaron Davidson
Q: When did Cronometer decide to bring AI into the platform, and how has the decision evolved since then?
The decision was made early on as the potential of AI became clear, with ongoing experimentation and a measured, lab-tested approach before shipping to users.
