This is a wonderful podcast. I feel truly honored to have been a guest. Michelle is thorough and insightful. She is a pro who does her homework, asks unique and thoughtful questions, and facilitates the flow of conversation in a relaxing manner. She truly cares about the authors she interviews. I like that she has them read long sections from their work. I eagerly look forward to each new episode.
I love every episode of Daring to Tell but was delighted not only to hear Melanie read parts of her beautiful book but especially to hear about your collaboration! What a process it is to read one’s own book for the audio version and what attention Michelle gives to its creation. Kudos to you both. And really, while on my walk, I laughed out loud at you tapping your spoon to get her attention. Priceless!!
I love the learning that happens within each interview but I also am quite delighted when I get swept up into the readings and the stories and that happens every time! It makes this podcast a fav!
Daring to Tell is a real gift to anyone who is a writer, a reader, or just a curious human being. I find Michelle’s conversations with writers to be so real, so refreshing, so emotional, and so connected that I’ve quickly become addicted to listening to them. The topics are relevant, diverse, and always thought-provoking.
After listening to several of Michelle Redo’s interviews, I’m impressed by the way she gets her subjects to dig deep and go beyond the surface. But she does it in such a compassionate way it feels encouraging, not antagonizing, to the interviewee. I look forward to listening to more episodes.
