Incredible story, beautifully read, this is one of my favorite podcasts of all time. I wish it didn't take such a LONG break though, as I don't remember it so clearly anymore, but I can't recommend this highly enough!!
Coleman Luck knows how to tell a story that engages the audience and makes you crave the next episode. I haven't listened to an "audio book" in many years, but Coleman's was recommended to me so I thought I'd tune in. Glad I did. The story and setting are riveting, the characters fascinating. I've listened to the first 28 and am breathlessly awaiting the concluding episodes....
This is no mere podcast, it is theater of the mind. Author Coleman Luck is not only a gifted writer, but a talented voice actor as well and with that voice he transports listeners into the unsettling, terrifying and sometimes darkly humorous world of Dagon's Illusion. I am only a few chapters deep into Coleman's captivating supernatural narrative but am enjoying every second of it, and you will too.
If you’re a fan of fictional serialized podcasts like as S-Town, Rabbits, Tanis, etc., then you’ll love this. Dagon’s Illusion more closely resembles an audio book than a podcast/radioshow production, but because of the authors believable theatrical delivery, you’ll find yourself captivated and engrossed in a story filled with interesting characters, mysterious places and supernatural events. I just finished episode 13, and I can't wait for the next one!
