Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Circling Back 22 : Kids' Wrath, The Power of Restraint & Advent at Grand Parkway
Q: How do we distinguish between being a coward and exercising restraint?
Restraint is thoughtful and purposeful, often rooted in a belief in a higher moral standard, while cowardice is an avoidance of responsibility. The discussion suggests that restraint can be a form of courage when guided by the wisdom of the gospel and a God-centered view of consequences.
Circling Back 20 : How to Avoid "Giving Birth to an Ishmael" & Experience God's Love
Q: How should we respond to temptations and the desert experiences in our life?
Temptation is clarified as a test of belief and identity; enduring requires relying on God's power at work within us, not merely willpower, and deserts are opportunities to humble, test, and reveal the heart.
Circling Back 20 : How to Avoid "Giving Birth to an Ishmael" & Experience God's Love
Q: When did you first understand the love of God, and how does that impact your faith today?
The speakers describe a formative experience with the hymn The Love of God and a later, ongoing conviction that the love of God compels them because they are convinced of its truth and power.
Circling Back 20 : How to Avoid "Giving Birth to an Ishmael" & Experience God's Love
Q: Synopsis of the Old Testament stories refers to, and what's the principle that you're addressing here?
The discussion centers on how God's promises to Abraham and Sarah required waiting, and the consequences of acting in human impatience (Ishmael) versus waiting for God's Isaac, applying that to modern decisions.
Circling Back 25 : Differentiating Joy from Happiness, Rejecting the King & Facing Your Prisons
Q: How do you differentiate joy from happiness in practical terms?
Joy is an ongoing, identity-level orientation rooted in God's presence; happiness is a contingent state tied to what we think could make us happy if achieved.
