Heath has the intellect, knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to make great conversations happen. I may be biased because we’re geeks of a similar generation, but he knows what he likes and is able to come at it from a thoughtful perspective. In terms of podcasting, Heath, film historian, definitely has the stuff!
The Cereal At Midnight Podcast is one of the most insightful Movie Podcasts that I have ever listened to. I have been following Cereal At Midnight since it was just a YouTube Channel. The host, Heath Holland is very knowledgeable about film that no other podcast really has. He can talk about anything mainstream from Star Wars to Star Trek to Indiana Jones all the way to the more obscure figures of Film History from Al Adamson to Sam Katzman to Audie Murphy. If you are a Movie Fan, then this is T... more
Heath has created a wonderful podcast, YouTube channel, and community that many try to capture but can never truly match at the same depth and care that Heath treats his work. The podcast includes industry guests and insiders that have such great perspectives about the entertainment industry. You also get to learn pop culture history when listening. Catch Heath on more commentaries on physical media releases too!
Found this because I saw someone reference it on Reddit. The interviews with Frank Tarzi from Kino Lorber were both truly excellent. Can’t wait to listen to more!
A brilliant interview with Donald M Morgan and the new Cinematographer documentary.I’m loving these podcasts and the effort you go to Heath in getting the people you interview. You reach a caliber that others could only dream about in my opinion, your not a flash in the pan. You cover all things film/cinema and beyond and you can see the effort and passion that you put into this channel.May you continue to be blessed in all that you put your hands to.

A lively, retro-leaning show that explores films, music, comics, and pop culture through in-depth interviews, archival insights, and thoughtful critique. Episodes frequently center around collecting culture, indie and cult cinema, and the economics of licensing, exclusives, and physical media, with guests drawn from filmmakers, writers, performers, and archivists. The tone blends nostalgia with practical realism about budgets, distribution, and market dynamics, making it a good fit for listeners who love deep-dives into cult favorites, genre history, and the business of media preservation.
