  • Mic check

Really enjoying the show but please, please, please, please, please somebody get Joe a proper microphone. He sounds like he’s underwater and can’t be understood half the time! Thank you for your consideration.

  • I love the podcast but somewhere along the way Josh got lost in his own a**. Consistently sh*ts on his fans because well obviously he knows best and they're a bunch of tools. Also love when he sh*ts on people like George Clooney who are progressive and very politically active. To his trite remarks I say. What have you done lately good sir? WHO SHOULD IT BE DOING THE FIGHTING BACK ? They'll line up around the block to the follow the no i will not read your script guy into the political trenches

FOR ALL MANKIND visual effects maestro Todd Sheridan Perry
Q: What's the most memorable mechanical or optical trick you've seen, and why does it still resonate?
The most memorable tricks are those that use mirrors and forced perspective to create depth and scale, because the audience's perception is bent in a way that feels magical yet perfectly believable within the story.
FOR ALL MANKIND visual effects maestro Todd Sheridan Perry
Q: How did you first get started in effects, and what drew you to the craft?
I was drawn to effects from an early age, starting with stop-motion, model building, and 2D animation, and gradually shifting toward computer graphics as it emerged in the 80s, always keeping a strong foundation in traditional in-camera tricks.
FOR ALL MANKIND visual effects maestro Todd Sheridan Perry
Q: Tell us what your theme is for the visual effects list, and why you chose esoteric shots.
The theme centers on esoteric shots that reveal how effects were achieved with clever practical tricks, mirrors, and forced perspective, showing the ingenuity behind early cinema and how those methods influenced later, bigger productions.
SIRAT writer/director Óliver Laxe
Q: When you compare the inspiration from Tarkovsky and how you implement it into your own work, how much involves your conscious decisions and how much is your intuition at play?
Laxe discusses his interest in Sufism and the concept of 'doq' or taste, emphasizing that he trusts the unconscious instincts when creating film images.
MAILBAG
Q: Could you have one dead actor as a guest, who would it be?
I would go with Hitchcock.
