  • Anti-Trump film fans? SAD!

Such potential, but constantly tripped up by ill-informed, poorly prepared guests and - yup - tertiary stage Trump Derangement Syndrome. Guys, you can appreciate a) movies and b) this great president. SAD!

  • Sets an unbelievable standard

    Projection booth podcast review

Thoroughly researched and meticulously crafted by Mike White, the show provides thorough and fascinating insight into all styles of and genres of film, hosted by a diverse cast of film aficionados and pop-culture enthusiasts.

Perhaps most importantly, it achieves all this while staying wildly entertaining and thought-provoking.

Bar none, the Production booth sets the standard for film podcasts, it’s only detriment being perhaps setting the bar too high.

  • One of the oldest movie podcasts, and still one of the best

really appreciate the variety of subjects they cover. has exposed me to films that i sometimes didn’t know existed. always germaine and erudite guests. the recent discussion on the state of podcasting and the new documentary (Age of Audio) covering it was fascinating to listen to. i’m a big supporter of Mike White’s side projects as well. over 750 episodes in! a remarkable achievement.

Special Report: Addison Heimann on Touch Me (2025)
Q: How did the post-production timeline affect the final cut, and what was the role of your editor during shooting?
We cut as we shot; the editor was editing during production, which allowed us to assemble quickly and test ideas in near real-time, leading to a director's cut that incorporated strong notes from Olivia and the team.
Special Report: Addison Heimann on Touch Me (2025)
Q: Why did you choose to tell Touch Me in the way you did, given its unusual blend of elements and themes?
The ideas coexist because OCD, trauma, and humor all live in the same nervous system; the film uses outrageous humor and fantasy to make the dark thoughts more approachable and ultimately human.

Q: What inspired the look and feel of Exposure 36?
Mauro cites Abel Ferrara and the quiet, intimate approach of Take Shelter, using low budget constraints to focus on character and mood rather than big set pieces.
