This week the BGH crew hits the open road with the aggressively mediocre horror film “Passenger”. We discuss the hobo code, jump scares, the logic leaps, the "van life" cliches, and the very Buhguul-like demon. Plus, Obsession has a record breaking w... more
Is Obsession the scariest horror film of the year? We dive into the new release from Youtuber turned horror dynamo Curry Barker, including his exploration of Gen Z social and dating struggles, the film’s ties to “Incel Horror”, and why Obsession’s or... more
It's time for BGH to enter the ring with "Mortal Kombat II", and it goes exactly how you would expect. Eric is geeking out, Jon is exasperated, and the crew tries their best to make sense of this loud, campy, fever dream of a sequel. Also, Eric sha... more
Anthony Cousins won over found footage horror fans big time in 2023 with his ode to Ohio's famous cryptid, the aptly titled "Frogman". Since then, Anthony and his indie film have amassed a cult following, that has even lead to the establishment of a... more

How does a CEO of The Horror Section, for a prominent horror director, proudly say he’s not on any social media platform or surfs the interwebs???? Way to stay current in an ever changing world - especially in the entertainment industry. While you’re sittting in your horse & buggy, reading a newspaper, fumbling for your pager & blackberry, I can hear Eli Roth’s investments flushing down the drain.
Love the show and have been enjoying it for a while now mainly due to the fact that the hosts are real about the fact that 90% of modern horror movies are shallow, underwritten, boring and make no sense. Some people may see this honesty as being negative. And to those people I can only say you probably need to go elsewhere if you can’t handle people
Not enjoying things. The crew want the bad movies to be good and look for the tiniest bit of positivity but I love that they don’t kiss the directo... more
I have been listening to BGH for close to ten years now. I really appreciated the effort they made to make the hosts more diverse after #MeToo, and the show definitely improved when they added more women and LGBTQ guests. I am just begging you all to stop covering BIPOC horror if you aren’t going to bring on people from those communities to balance out uninformed opinions. Their takes on Sinners during the end of year show made it clear that they didn’t even bother to read or listen to any other... more
The reviews and content are excellent but the main host Eric interrupts his co hosts and speaks over them like it’s his hydrant to piss on. It’s infuriating and prevents me from being able to listen. I’ve witnessed some of the other hosts just give up and question what they are doing on the show. Eric if you read this, your co hosts are too nice to say anything to your face because how domineering you can be.
I keep returning to this podcast, giving another listen, hoping for a different outcome. Insanity? Sure.
I really enjoy the end of the year episodes where everyone lists their top ten.
Rachel is definitely the shining light of the podcast. She is articulate, does her research, and brings a depth and compassion to the discussion.
I’m not sure why Eric is the “host.” For someone who appears to find fault and criticize everything, he lacks the charisma and wit to pull it off.
I will keep retur... more
