2014年，韩江被朴槿惠政府列入一份秘密黑名单，取消对其作品翻译、海外推广的补助，原因正是这本《少年来了》。这本书以光州民主化运动为背景，着实刺痛了保守势力。直到16年，朴槿惠被弹劾下台，这份黑名单才被曝光，引发社会轩然大波。读这本书时，一面感叹韩国的言论自由和出版自由，一面感叹民主来之不易，它是无数个“少年”用尊严和献血换来的。如果不珍惜，民主自由随时可能夭折。
