This podcast is not worth your listening time and it is one of the worst I have come across. It is poorly organized (seems like there was very little to no preparation) and sounds like facts are being read straight from Wikipedia. The hosts are constantly giggling and overusing the word “like.” It takes a long time for the episode topic to actually be discussed. There are too many personal anecdotes that wind off topic, such as discussions about online shopping purchases. This is definitely not ... more
Love the podcast for the info, it’s delivered in a very fun way despite the topic being very morbid. But the 10 to 20 minutes of ranting in the beginning of the episode becomes too much after a while and one of the hosts just talks and interrupts too much. It really drags down the episode.
I have been listening for years now and I am a big fan of Elizabeth and Megan. I found my people! Tudor enthusiasts with a penchant for the macabre, the stories told are always interesting and the ladies are very funny! Truthfully, I listen for the banter and the digressions. I wish I could hang with the two of them. Wonderful, original podcast. Keep it coming!

Episodes range from famous monarchs to lesser-known figures, often mixing contextual history, pop culture references, and personal anecdotes to make macabre topics approachable and entertaining for curious, history-loving listeners. Noteworthy is the hosts' chemistry and humor, which helps lighten heavy subjects while still delivering well-researched context; a good fit for audiences who want a lighter, conversational take on historical crime and punishment across eras.
