  • Barron’s

Very little about actual investment planning. It’s basically an attempt to highlight how women and minorities are amazing but those white men are just bad.

  • Sad to witness

First WSJ turns woke... then Barron's. I'm sorry, I don't need to hear from Barry Ritholtz, who developed his NYC firm with blogs that promoted anti-conservativism, Trump-hate, etc., to learn how to develop content. This May 2023 episode belongs in 2016 when Barry was in the business paying these people for their nonsense extra blogs that helped no one with their personal finances or investing issues.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jason Early: How Top Advisors Win Business Owner Clients
Q: What are three actionable takeaways for advisors?
Narrow your focus to a clearly defined ideal client profile of business owners, spend years building deep relationships with the ecosystem around that client (COIs like accountants and attorneys), and maintain consistent, long-term messaging and presence rather than short, intense campaigns.
Jason Early: How Top Advisors Win Business Owner Clients
Q: What is the biggest mistake advisors make when working with business owners?
They ignore the business owner as a key client segment and treat the business as just an asset on the balance sheet, missing the opportunity to align the owner's goals with the business value and exit plan.
Kelly Gaur: Finding Non-Advisor Roles in Wealth Management | Next Gen
Q: How can someone prepare to move into a non-advisor role within wealth management?
Gain client-facing experience, pursue relevant finance coursework and certifications, network extensively, and seek firms that separate client development from client service to keep a broad career path.
Kelly Gaur: Finding Non-Advisor Roles in Wealth Management | Next Gen
Q: What would be your advice to someone entering this industry about your current role?
Don't shy away from the technicalities; understanding taxes, estate planning, and how policy affects clients is essential, and being technically proficient paired with strong client engagement makes you valuable in any wealth-management role.
Mollie Colavita: The Blueprint for Modern Advisory Success
Q: What does it mean for advisors to act like CEOs, and how is that mindset cultivated in teams?
Acting like CEOs means taking ownership of strategy, people management, and the client experience; this is cultivated through leadership-focused workshops, diagnostics of team dynamics, and explicit discussions about roles, responsibilities, and succession planning.
