  • I really like the content that Chris shares through Badass Agile. It's a great reminder of the mindset we need to build agile products. But I had to unsubscribe eventually because I couldn't stand the background roaring fire or heavy metal music. It was too distracting from the content.

  • Great content and production

I discovered Badass Agile Podcast through a mutual connection in the workplace. As an Agile practitioner, scrum master, tech navigator and consultant / business owner the content Chris puts out is extremely valuable.

I now listen to the podcast commuting into work and before my morning stand ups and in the evening on the way home after a full day leading my rapid development lab. It’s a great way to decompose, reflect grow and develop myself

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Government Agility with Kevin Sutherland
Q: What role does leadership play in sustaining transformation?
Executive commitment is essential to protect and remove blockers, support the transformation, and maintain momentum beyond temporary urgencies; without it, progress stalls.
Government Agility with Kevin Sutherland
Q: How can vendors be engaged in this new model?
Vendors respond better when the strategy is outcome-focused and reduces red tape, offering autonomy and collaboration rather than order-taking; the RFI process helps validate interest and shape participation.
Government Agility with Kevin Sutherland
Q: How do you approach transformation—incremental pockets or full-scale change?
There are two paths: an incremental approach that delivers in high-priority pockets and a transformational strategy that creates an ecosystem enabling emergent, end-to-end 같은 use cases; both require leadership commitment and a shift in governance and procurement.
Government Agility with Kevin Sutherland
Q: What are the unique challenges of applying Agile in large government organizations?
Common challenges mirror those in the private sector (legacy systems, bureaucratic structures, long funding cycles), but government adds regulation, political constraints, and a focus on outcomes for taxpayers rather than paying customers, which changes incentives and measures of success.
Adam Smith of Tension – Navigating AI Disruption and Leading The Unknown
Q: Can you give an example of how AI has shifted your work but the essence remains the same?
AI enables faster data gathering and analysis, allowing for more streamlined processes while still addressing the core problems of businesses and users.
