UK comedian The Honourable Tom Houghton takes us inside Britain’s stately homes, castles and country estates to hear about their local histories, the scandals, the mysteries and occasionally the odd ghost that makes up the fabric of what they are. These are the tales you won’t hear in the guidebook.

This podcast is amazing, posh Houghton meets even posher landed gentry talking history, ghost and innuendo.
I love getting alittle peek into those amazing historical castle and story’s of those who lived and worked to support these properties. Iv listened to every single episode and wish they were longer. The owners/ employees all seem to be rather eccentric, interesting people who work hard to keep up our British heritage.
I’d follow Tom on a ghost tour ;)
Informative and funny!
Great fun listening to all these episodes! Have had a blast getting to know some history and listen to some myths and legends.
Glenshein Manor has a disturbed murder story, so while I can’t speak to the spookiness of the manor (cuz I don’t believe in that) the murder story is wild.
If you want to get out more Wild West, check out the town of Deadwood, SD.
Really have loved the show, especially enjoyed visiting places I have grown up with and getting to learn a little bit more about. I was a little bit disappointed with the Halloween episode, as I didn’t much like the way they made fun of those who had written in to tell their spooky story. Totally get that it was done in a humorous way but I think some of the way it was angled was a little bit mean.
