Miss the former presenter Charles , it’s just not the same without him. I’ve tried to listen to these podcasts since he left the show but I just can’t take to the new presenter. She sounds so fake it ruins the show.

  • Don’t like the new format

As others have said, I hardly listen to the show anymore. Charles Rowe and the scholarly yet conversational tone of the old episodes was more compelling. The new conceit of having the host seem clueless and making the subject matter light and silly isn’t very interesting.

  • Brilliant updated pod-no longer dull!

The way Amy describes the object in question to start with always creates a brilliant visual image. Conversation continues like listening to friends chat with knowledge & passion instead of a tired interview format .
