The heat’s great isn’t it. As John points out, it’s no longer twee and fun headlines, instead it’s “Phew You’re All Going To Die Quite Soon”. What japes! Luckily we’ve got the cool cucumber balm of content for those toasty ears.

After a bout of promiscuous and unprotected thinking, John’s been in a panic sphere. He’s only gone and given himself a mind STD, but could some watermelon body wash be to blame?
All this leads to a full circle moment for Elis. He might be headlinin... more
It has been decreed that this is a football free zone. Well not until John nips out for a vape. Then when he returns, Elis, Dave and the production staff are all attentive and silent.
But in this chill zone we imagine a chill world. One in which Joh... more
Who’s that co-hosting this week’s podcast; is it Jean-Paul Sartre? Is it Hannah Arendt? Is it Ronan Keating? Sure, they’ve all opined on the nature of existence, but has our very own philosopher Johnny JR finally hit the nail on the head?

Have listened to everything since ever, and love everything. I totally understand needing to monetize but the harsh change of tone from the chat to the horrible ads can be worked on. Use blindboy for example, he does the pause before the ads and lets people know they are coming. You are a safe space to people, and the forceful manner in which the ads have been introduced I think needs addressing. Love you
One negative is John’s constant arguing the toss in made up game. Seems mean spirited
I’ve been listening for the best part of a decade (a 72er and a retro oner) but I won’t be listening any more. Absolutely embarrassing introduction of ads to the show. Not just for the desperate money grubbing (that happens) but for how poorly and embarrassingly they’re done. I’m sick of it.

The show centers on two British hosts who trade rapid-fire banter, personal anecdotes, and audience-interactive bits like Made Up Games and Cymru Connection. Episodes weave in running, touring life, book talk, and pop-culture riffs, with occasional guests and cheeky interludes that mix heartfelt reflections with self-deprecating humor. Noteworthy are the long-running segments, crowd engagement, and a willingness to pivot between lighthearted games and more polished interviews or quick-fire Q&A, all delivered in a warm, informal style that rewards listener familiarity and participation.
