Beginning with a deceptively simple question - why are the Abraham Accords named after Abraham? – this series is a whirlwind tour of geopolitics, theology, pop culture, and anthropological theory that picks up on old Abe as both a universal symbol and the ancestor of two peoples: the Arabs and the Jews. As we’ll see, cousins can be pretty bad.

A deep, interesting, accessible and timely podcast. Every episode is a condensed review of some aspect of the notion of the Abrahamic story.
It’s one downside: the series is too short
Really enjoying this podcast so far. The hosts are great and the conversations are smart, curious, and genuinely interesting. It manages to dive into big ideas about history, religion, and politics without feeling heavy or academic. Definitely worth a listen!
The premise of this podcast is “what if some white dudes who test really really well on standardized tests made a podcast about not knowing the difference between a cliche and an insight?”
Everybody they talk to humors them but makes it clear that none of this is about Abraham. The hosts won’t let that stand in the way of creating content, though.
Did you ever wonder “what if Radiolab decided to explain ethnic cleansing?” This is the level of rigor you could expect.
