This was just a solid terrific podcast. Michael Barnes has specialized in getting to know the history of Austin for decades, and he is full of knowledge, stories, and personal connections. J.B. Hager is chill. The episodes are structured, with a topic for each one, but they flow naturally, like a conversation. I don't know why it ended suddenly in 2023.
I love this podcast so much! It is full of information on local iconic history of the city. JB and Michael are a gift to be able to listen to as they share their experiences with each other and invited guests. I so hope they start doing episodes again soon!
I’m almost finished listening to every episode. Can’t get enough!
Such a cool way to learn about the history of Austin! So glad I came across this podcast - I think every Austinite should listen.
Mr. Barnes is an Austin icon and treasure, and Mr. Hager is a great accompaniment. This podcast casts a light on how big this formally small town really is. Thank you both for all you do.
