I gave it a shot in spite of the reviews. However, I must agree with them after listening to it. The info was there and it had the potential to be interesting, but I couldn't get past the computer voice and it totally took me out of it. It reminded me of the old 1980s movie War Games. When the computer 'Joshua' says, "Greetings Professor Falken, shall we play a game?"
computer voice is too distracting
Okay, great idea; horrible execution. Someone should provide access to these texts, but not like this.
The content of this podcast is completely ruined by the automated speech voice used in place of an actual person doing the presentation. Makes the computer on "star trek" seem light and engaging.
This could be such an educational podcast, if only they took the time to read thier scripts with the real human voice and emotion with which they were composed. Not the computer!
