So excited to listen through this series. I heard some of the newer ones and just went back to start (2020). I’m learning so much through these conversations. Really enjoying the book recommendations too. Thanks for all the work you’re doing for the educational renaissance! I’m so thankful and happy to see how much support is out there. The future is bright. <3
I enjoy listening to a variety of topics related to education and classical learning. Classical education is growing in my area.
This interview by Jeremy was interesting and informative. It was nice to hear a professor from a top tier public university, UVA, discuss censorship in common sensical ways.
I appreciate this podcast doesn’t have the host and others talking over one another.
This is a great podcast with interesting insights and great content.
I always learn something new and I enjoy the conversation and pace of this podcast.
Others should take note on your podcast.
Thank you.
Massachusetts schools did not “ban” The Odyssey. The movement in question was advocating more diverse perspectives in literature, the complete opposite of what you imply. Choosing to move The Odyssey to other grade levels or even not include it in a curriculum is a completely different thing than a ban, like those we see from brain dead GOP governors. Kind of sounds like some both sides nonsense to help push a moral panic about “wokeness” whether you mean it to or not

The show often explores practical pedagogy, classroom strategies, and reform-minded ideas (e.g., classical curricula, standardized measures aligned with virtuous aims) through accessible, story-driven discussions. Noteworthy is the consistent emphasis on human judgment, moral formation, and the role of education in shaping civic virtue, with a friendly, thoughtful interview style that invites listeners to reflect on how ideas translate into scho... more
