The guest I listened to had a lot of good content to share, but the host was continually interrupting and almost competing with her guest. It was uncomfortable to listen to.
This is an incredible topic for a podcast. There’s definitely a market for it, but I believe if you have a lot to share, maybe do some solo podcasts. The interviews should be more focused on learning from the guest and making sure they know you are grateful for their time and the knowledge they have to offer.
The host comes off as a know-it-all and talks over the guests. I have the same bad habit of talking over people when nervous and it is so hard to kick the habit. I'm sure she knows this and like me is trying to kick the habit. Nonetheless, the Airbnb guest that talked about how he pivoted during the pandemic was great though he seemed annoyed and uninterested in pockets of the discussion.
I am learning a lot about this industry and thought I would support another female Entrepreneur but this was REALLY bad. Your guest (who I can only assume is black) provided a detailed history of the black travel experience. It was very informative and brought a perspective I hadn’t thought about before. Kudos to you both! Then you turned right around and said that the show was for EVERYONE who is new to the platform. Should we assume that you’re saying that blacks are new to the platform beca... more
Some constructive feedback: don’t talk over guests. And get a better microphone.
Like the podcast. Hopefully you can invest in better sound equipment soon. Would be more enjoyable to listen to your podcast.
I was excited to find a STR podcast but the recording quality is terrible and the host talks over the guests and talks in circles.
During the interview with the gentleman building the Airbnb hotel in OCEANSIDE California it was clear she did zero research on his project. How about looking at the project prior to the podcast so you can speak to it? Sound is also terrible. Sounds like talking through an tin can tied to a speaker wire.
I have nothing bad to say about the content. The information is great and informative. If you want content, give it a listen!
I had to turn it off though because she talks over people. I was listening to the podcast about using Airbnb with social influencers. She would ask the guy a question and then talk over him. Gave me anxiety just listening to it. She asked for his background and he got as far as where he grew up and went to college before she started in on herself.

Rachel knows her stuff and her podcast and online course have been so helpful to us as we get started with our vacation rental business. We were looking for a podcast with resources presented in a helpful and accessible way that would help us. Rachel's materials and podcast have been just that!
I appreciate some of the content, but other things don’t make sense. Like some opinions she has ($20/yr for Ecobee service is not too expensive unless your margins are razor thin). The sound quality and editing is about a 3/10. There are too many edits and the edits are quick cuts and all the sudden she saying something else and it does sound not good. If you’re making that many edits that shows me lack of preparation.
If you like hearing a tin can with a string type audio this is for you. I felt like you had two girls talking through a a stringed can to an adult. 2019, do better.
I have gotten some good information from this podcast in the past but this particular episode “the history of black travel and fitting in now” was the worst! I am insulted by this whole interview. I thought this would be informative giving listeners and potential travelers guidance on dealing with racism on the site which happens far to often as a host and as a guest. But your aim was to single out black travelers as ignorant to the rules and culture of AirBnB not to inform and educate. Referrin... more
