Ever wonder what would happen if you attached some spikes to a wheelchair and made it run into another spike-equipped wheelchair? Does the answer even matter? After all, I hear a Plunderstorm is coming...
They say war cares for no man, woman, or child, and Heat J of Robot Wars Series 2 is here to prove that point. This episode features explosive barrels, a tug-of-war, and a 100% fool-proof self-righting mechanism.
Welcome to the first of infinite episodes of Sir K and friends. This week guest starring Prometheus, who is going to show the world what he's best at - stealing fire and getting all hell for it.
In this episode of The Twilight Zone, Benji and Rob are trapped on Gamma 9 - The planet where robots fight each other in identical battles, repeating for all eternity.

I do think this is the gold standard of robot wars podcasts, with respect the others can be very overly earnest and factual. This has more of an armchair commentary vibe that really works, more focused on the irreverent opinions eg. They describe the judges as looking like ‘two hippies and an estate agent’.
I would have to agree with the consensus that new content is existentially slow. Between discovering this and a new episode Id been through every episode a couple of times. Quality five sta... more
Love this. Very funny and silly in equal measure. Love the chat about the sphere.
Sad thing though as it’s reminded me I’m 18months closer to death due to how occasional the episodes are. Please release these like one a month!!

Imagine my joy when my podcatcher showed a new episode of Activate! was available to download. OK it’s been 18 months in the making but I loved it nonetheless. Robot Wars was a cultural phenomenon in the 90s and these guys are lovingly and hilariously giving Robot Wars the recognition it never seems to get but richly deserves. Here’s to the next episode in 2024 ;)
This podcast is great just what I was looking for as a fan of fighting robots I wanted a podcast to accommodate my fandom.
There are a couple of podcasts dedicated to UK Robot Wars, but this is the best. Whilst others will touch on robot combat around the world, and other goings on within the scene, this podcast is absolutely dedicated to being a blow by blow account of the episodes. It’s great to compare the classic wars episodes to the new wars episodes, I enjoy also getting to compete against the guys I’m guessing who will win the episodes, it’s great to feel part of the podcast. 5/5
