  • Oy the ads

Love the conversations, but to have not just sentences interrupted by ads but sometimes they start in the middle of a word, is just so jarring. I understand the need for ads but can you at least edit them in at a natural break in the conversation?

  • Excruciating

Sorry to say that I have gone right off this podcast. The last episode about the BAFTAs is actually a nauseating back and forth between the hosts, lots of false modesty and ego massage. There is nothing relevant or insightful or really interesting that emanates from these conversations. It’s quite tedious. Such a shame as I am a fan of Mark.

  • Bunch of negative nellys

I’m actually mainly listening for Jack Howard - a funny, charismatic guy who knows a lot about film, strong takes, and genuinely loves it! It’s got to the point where I think he could have his own successful podcast. It’s great Mark and Jack have this chemistry, we are so divided in our generations nowadays - this dynamic is great to see. Stopped listening after Jack left, came back when I realised he was back. Still can’t believe Mark interviewed Edgar Wright without Jack!

  • Not even a big film buff but love this podcast

Great chemistry with the two of them and Jack adds the perception of those who grew up on the internet (which makes a huge difference to how we view films).

Jack O'Connell on 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE & SINNERS plus Ben Wheatley on BULK
Q: What is it about Bone Temple that you found compelling?
I think we had a sense that we were stepping into something that was preset, and it does have a very fascinating telling going on between my character and Rafe's character.

Q: Is it difficult when someone comes up and tells you how much a performance has affected them?
It depends who it is, but it's lovely if someone says that they've been moved by your performance.
