I’ve resubbed again after some time away. The host’s snobbishness drove me away, but I found I missed the insights he could provide. More time spent on what he enjoys rather than screeds about what he dismisses would be appreciated. Still, a well made podcast with great music.
Finally, I can develop parasocial relationships with people who love horror games instead of pestering my actual friends with my weirdo interests (I’m still gonna do that). But just started listening and already hooked. Good podcast, deserves more attention.
But probably the best video game podcast that exists, period. Production and mood is top notch, Ali & Justin are super knowledgeable and passionate, and the deep dives they do are great.
I enjoy these episodes… mostly. No shade to the creators, the content and subjects are great and highly enjoyable to listen to. The only feedback I have and I give this feedback with good intention is the overuse of the word “aesthetic” which is also pronounced as “acetic” which has a different meaning. I don’t mean to nit pick but it is starting to become nails on a chalkboard to me and distracts from the show.. waiting for the next time I hear the word “acetic”

I think this is at times a very intelligent podcast about horror games, however at other times it can feel quite trollish and cruel towards smaller indie games. I think it is enjoyable overall but must be taken with a grain of salt
