Used to like this show until the latest episode where she had to bash the president. Sorry, but our tax dollars shouldn’t be used to support public TV and radio.
Such a treat to listen to! Rachel is an excellent interviewer, and I always discover or learn something new every episode. I also appreciate the humor and silliness too.
I intended to just listen to the Alton episode but got hooked. It’s one of those where even people I’m not familiar with, I still listen to and really enjoy. What a great show - and mine is my dad’s pheasant with mushroom gravy, an In ‘n’ Out cheeseburger with grilled onions, sushi from Mame in Eugene, Oregon, the vegetarian mezza from Nicholas in PDX, strawberry Yoplait Custard Style yogurt (which isn’t made anymore), and Sam Choy’s pineapple cheesecake with macadamia nut crust. Plus lots of Si... more
I can’t believe it took me so long to check out Rachel’s show! I had heard of it through my favorite podcast, TBTL, where I was first introduced to Rachel back in 2008, during its KIRO days. I didn’t realize then what an absolute joy of a human, and what an incredible journalist, interviewer and storyteller she is! Every episode is such a delight - even those featuring guests I’ve not heard of or don’t think I’ll enjoy hearing from. That’s due to Rachel’s genuine curiosity and relatability. Peo... more
I love this podcast! Rachel's interview style is fun and engaging, which really pulls out a lot of fun facts from her guests. I also enjoy learning all the food history. I can't wait for new episodes!
