  • The important details

My husband has always claimed graham crackers are a health food so I had to sent him the episode about Vegetarian diets. When he heard about the intended effects of the original graham crackers, he got to be right and dismayed all at once. Perfect.

  • Entertaining, Evidence-Based Science Done Right

Take a listen if you want actual facts and a good laugh!!! Science Communication is HARD! However, Zoë and Kylee do a first-class job. What makes YDS so special is that it sits at the intersection of entertainment and education (you actually learn things backed by actual science). They’re also not afraid to say, “We don’t know,” when there isn’t concrete evidence either way.

Q: How do you think about avoiding some of the common traps that marketing plays into by exploiting people's insecurities?
Dr. Villafranco emphasizes the importance of being a skin health company and not engaging in anti-aging messaging that exploits insecurities.
Tallow, Toxins, and TikTok: What Skincare Gets Wrong Partner Episode with Osmia
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you got into skincare?
Dr. Villafranco shares her background as an emergency medicine physician and how her experience in medicine led her to realize she wanted to focus on preventative health through skincare.
