I really wanted to like this podcast. It’s right up my alley when they describe it as “horror” and “terrifying” but it is anything but. It’s weird, and not in a good way. Iheart should give it a rest on these types of podcasts, stick to their pop music, and leave it to the professionals.
James and iHeart nailed it with this new season 2 of my favorite podcast!
Loved season one. Glad season 2 is back with a twist. It’s wonderful hearing indie creators shine
I love James’s work and YFT is as great as ever. Wonderful sound design, emotional nuance, great spaces and worlds created…so good. Audio fiction can be cringe, but this is a bright spot in the space.
Not the creators’ fault, but 2:30 of ads before the first episode is rouuughhh! C’mon iHeart…
This show has potential. High production value, good sound design. What I think is lacking: the writing and dialogue isn't quite realistic, kinda caricaturish of what real people might sound like. Also the acting isn't quite up to par. I do like the ethnic diversity. It's kind of like The Truth but with diverse voices.
