  • Health care centered but not specific

I love the advice and the clinical discussions that are brought up during this podcast. I work in the automotive profession with the added stress of work under flat rate. Burnout and depression is never talked about in my field and there is little support for these concern. These episodes speak to me because the stresses are very similar.

  • Good for burnout

This is a pretty good podcast especially for GPs with burnout. I had had burnout a few times and am easily stressed and anxious, so I find this podcast overall useful. Although some of the episodes have a lot of chit chat and abstract kind of stuff, which is the downside. I find the shorter episodes more useful in terms of practical solutions

Q: What are the top three tips for someone who feels stuck and believes they have no choice?
Seek external perspective, use a simple exercise like 50 wouldn't it be cool ifs to surface possible options, and commit to taking at least one small action to reclaim agency, even if the ultimate outcome isn't fully in your control.
Why ‘I Have To’ Is Keeping You Stuck (And What To Say Instead)
Q: What links the 12-minute habit to the broader concept of choice?
Swale explains that the 12-minute method was a practical tool to regain agency when overwhelmed; it helps break big tasks into achievable chunks and links personal routines to meaningful outcomes, thereby expanding perceived choices.
How to Use Clean Language to Stop Rescuing and Really Feel Your Feelings
Q: How can professionals start using clean language in daily interactions without attending coaching courses?
The method is simple and approachable: reflect back the person's own words and use a few core questions to invite deeper self-exploration, which can be applied in education, business, healthcare, and personal coaching.
When Speaking Up is Stressful – A Psychology Researcher Tells Us What to Do Instead
Q: What should leaders do to support staff who want to speak up but fear retaliation or job loss?
Leaders should provide transparent avenues for concerns, avoid promising rapid fixes, set realistic expectations, and foster a culture where listening is valued even if immediate changes aren't possible; training managers to listen empathetically is key.
When Speaking Up is Stressful – A Psychology Researcher Tells Us What to Do Instead
Q: What can individuals do today to reduce stress when they're stuck in silos or when speaking up feels risky?
Caregivers can start with self-compassion, journaling or talking with trusted peers, and seek out clear pathways for voicing concerns; it's important to know where to go for support and to pace the process, rather than trying to fix everything immediately.
