In this episode, I'm talking about the "laziness lie" from Dr. Devon Price's book Laziness Does Not Exist and how believing you're lazy if you don't help people can quietly destroy your boundaries. I get into why some relationships leave you exhauste... more
In this episode, I talk about the emerging idea of ADHD and hyper-curiosity - the intense urge to explore, research, and learn everything right now. Hyper-curiosity can fuel creativity and discovery, but it can make modern life harder to manage. Chec... more

Jen Kirkman’s voice pulled me in immediately, and I’m still not entirely sure why — our lives look very different on paper, yet somehow feel deeply familiar.
I’ve been a fan of Jen since Chelsea Lately and Drunk History days. On Chelsea, she was razor-sharp and fearless. On Drunk History, her episode—legendary. Even then, she had that rare mix of intelligence, precision, and ridiculousness. Instantly infatuated.

I just want to give a huge shout out to Jen Kirkman, who by virtue of this podcast has completely changed my understanding of my own brain. Honestly I was only slightly ADHD curious when I started listening to this, and I had no idea the impact that it would make. Jen explains things so clearly and backs them up with so much research. and more than anything delivers with an incredible amount of humanity and compassion. I'm already 51 and it's a bummer that I didn't understand any of this stuff u... more
I’ve only listened to episode one. SHE IS SAYING ALL THE THINGS IVE EXPERIENCED INCLUDING THE ONE SURFING CLASS AND CONCERN ABOUT THE FOOTSTRAP!
I have a new favorite podcast.
Prompted to review (1st time EVER 🤯) after hearing the CNS-regulation with polyvagal theory ep. SO well-researched and presented. Almost every episode has exactly what I want to learn (highly “nutritious” and very low fluff/wasted time rambling “empty calories”). SO educational and RELEVANT/relatable ( appreciated as an irreverent 48 y.o. single child-free woman diagnosed 28 yrs ago with a raging case of ADHD and now suspected ASD!! )
Impressive quality! I’m SO GRATEFUL!!! Hope to contribute ... more
I started listening to this podcast a few weeks ago and change is starting slowly.
Jen makes me feel normal. The best advice (so far) has been creating routine. Which I have started, in small steps and it has been very helpful. I am listening and getting tips and tricks to help me in my day to day, but not feeling overwhelmed, which is key.
Thank you for keeping it real and being open about the struggles.
I started talking to my friends and my son about some of the challenges and they face... more
