林文中：「做久了你會發現，創作走的是減法。不是因為東西少了，是因為你終於知道什麼可以不要。」
王奕盛：「我去看他第一次排練，音樂都還不是final的，可是那個結構已經讓我非常清楚地抓到他在想什麼了。他很清楚自己要什麼，但他不會帶著你像狗追蝴蝶一樣跑。」
2008年，從紐約回台灣，工時加三倍，收入卻減少三分之一。他把舞團開起來，撐了幾年，又自己把它收掉。
那之後，他開始把時間拉得很長。舞編好了，就去做別的事，等到忘了自己編什麼，再回去看。
那時候看到的，是他自己也沒預料到的東西。
