「當年，我剛開始参加社會運動，我對這個世界有很多抱負，我很想要告訴身邊的人台灣現在正在發生的事情。可是我發現其實沒有一個作品是跟我有這方面的契合的，沒有作品有辦法撫慰我這部分的孤單跟不足，當時我在台灣看不太到這樣的作品。我會希望如果今天有一部作品像《間隙 》一樣，可以告訴下一代的孩子，或者甚至我們這個世代的人，知道我們現在在做的事情的意義。
