Happy that I found this one! Great information along with entertaining!
These two are my favorites to listen to about all things backpacking. They make me laugh, I really enjoy the dynamic between them, and their takes on backpacking are healthy and refreshing. Plus I think they do a great job with the guests they bring on for conversations.I like getting to hear stories from the trail, especially them recapping their PCT thru, which took place the same year as mine, and I think they kind of fill a hole in terms of format and content in the backpacking podcast space... more
These two are some of the most real and genuine humans that bring me joy to listen to. They are true thru hikers and have a deep passion to share their journey as well as so many others and share their love for nature with us all. This is a deep resource for any hiker and you will for sure along the way as well.
This is a great show with lots of smiles and laughs. Yeti Legs and Basecamp have serious thru-hiking credentials (and professional creds too), and they invite awesome guests with serious stories to share. They keep it chill and fun, trying to inspire all of us to just get out there and experience nature, and none of the elitism about my trail is longer than yours or whatever. Strongly recommend!
I had the absolute joy and privilege of sharing the PCT adventure with this incredible couple. And when I say “sharing,” it’s an understatement, as these two walk, laugh, and talk as one, always in sync and endlessly generous in the way they connect with others.
Listening to this podcast takes me right back into that one-of-a-kind adventure—one that is as human as it is athletic and contemplative. It makes some people want to do it for the first time and others want to do it all over again.
