4.7 out of 5 stars from 15 ratings
  • Occasional connection to real Yachting

A bunch of talks on general subjects rarely related to yachting. The few I tried to listen to are boring, self centred and meaningless.

Some people may think adding ‘Yacht’ to the headline touches glamour… it mostly presents cluelessness. But in today’s world probably 30% of the people would hear all that without listening. Just a background noise… 😎 I prefer a dentist drill over that.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Death at Sea, Crew Rights and Maritime Law Explained with Adria Notari | UNCENSORED (Part 1)
Q: How do investigations and record accessibility typically work, and what should families expect?
Investigations can be opaque; families may need to pursue discovery to obtain medical records, autopsy reports, and investigation records, and they should expect that some materials may be privileged or confidential but others should be accessible through legal channels.
Death at Sea, Crew Rights and Maritime Law Explained with Adria Notari | UNCENSORED (Part 1)
Q: Why is it critical not to sign anything immediately after a death or serious incident at sea?
Because ships' owners, insurers, and flag-state representatives may use the opportunity to protect their own interests and potentially undervalue or limit the family's rights; the family should seek independent legal advice first.
Death at Sea, Crew Rights and Maritime Law Explained with Adria Notari | UNCENSORED (Part 1)
Q: What should crew members and their families do to be better prepared for the possibility of a death, accident, or suicide at sea?
Ensure there is a written contract that clearly identifies the employer and arbitration requirements, designate a reliable emergency contact, and have access to independent legal counsel to navigate the aftermath and protect rights.
Superyacht Brokerage, Charter & Ownership: Hannah Wolstenholme of Edmiston | Yachting USA
Q: What is the biggest challenge in yacht ownership today?
Balancing the emotional desire to own with the analytical reality of ongoing operational costs, maintenance, and fleet data, ensuring owners make informed decisions with eyes wide open and minimized surprises.
Superyacht Brokerage, Charter & Ownership: Hannah Wolstenholme of Edmiston | Yachting USA
Q: How does charter activity relate to ownership and long-term client relationships?
Charter is a learning and exposure mechanism for potential owners, offering hands-on insight into how a yacht is used, which informs ownership decisions and helps brokers tailor ownership packages that align with the client's lifestyle and expectations.
