神要我們「忘記過去」，但那不是容易的事。我們要如何才能忘記，過去發生在我們身上的事呢？我們必須得「健忘症」才有辦法忘記嗎？我們一定得活在「否認」當中嗎？我們是不是要「假裝」那些事從來沒有發生過？還是我們要像「抽脂」一樣，把腦袋一部分的記憶抽出來？不！我們要禱告求神幫助我們，脫離過去的捆綁，才能成功地活在當下。

「耶路撒冷的眾女子啊，我雖然黑，卻是秀美。」﹝歌一5﹞
當你越親近主，就越會看到自己的軟弱與敗壞；當你越靠近光，這才發現原來自己是那麼「黑」。這「黑」乃是被神公義的「日頭」曬的，因而顯出自己的不完全，以致其他「眾女子」就輕看你。事實上，她們不願意親近主、靠近光，她們根本看不見自己也是那麼「黑」。然而，你這隻原本平凡不起眼的「黑」麻雀，卻飛上枝頭變成「秀美」的鳳凰。

大家都打過樸克牌，或曾經下過棋，我們應該都有這樣的經驗，就是當你拿了「一手爛牌」，或著正在下「棋逢敵手」的一盤棋，我們都很想放棄，希望能夠重來一局，希望在新的一局裏，能扳回一城，反敗為勝。我們也常聽人在說「人生如棋」。但人生是否能夠，走錯一步棋，再重來一次，那麼的容易嗎？我們知道很不容易，其中有許多的不得已。

「我現在是要得人的心呢？還是要得神的心呢？我豈是討人的喜歡麼？」﹝加一10﹞
基督徒缺乏「自我定位」，就會害怕「別人的看法」，我們做許多決定，常常是為了取悅別人，或取悅自己，而不是為取悅神。我們希望別人喜歡我們，希望自己成為他們的一份子，不希望被別人論斷或批評。想要取悅別人是人的天性，但若在這領域失去平衡，為了被別人認同，而不做對的事，魔鬼將偷走你的屬天命定，你就無法成就神對你的呼召。

「凡為攻擊你造成的器械必不利用；凡用舌攻擊你的，你必定他為有罪。」﹝賽五四17﹞
如果事情讓你心情不佳，別往負面的方向思考。你不要說：「不曉得何時神才要動工。」你要反過來宣告：「天父，謝謝你，此刻你正在我身上動工，使我常得勝，凡為攻擊我，造成的器械必不利用。」即使情勢看似不可能，仍要學習宣告信心的話語，你或許看不見出路，但要知道我們的神能開道路。神能為以色列百姓分開紅海，就能為你開展道路。

「你們作妻子的，當順服自己的丈夫，這在主裏面是相宜的。」﹝西三18﹞
神要妻子順服，不是要叫丈夫霸道不講理，或不聽妻子的建議。神要妻子在丈夫作決定的過程中間，幫助他尋找相關資料和分析，而且要陪他一起禱告。當妻子把意見，盡可能的讓丈夫了解以後，最後的決定讓丈夫來作。如果丈夫做錯了，神打他的屁股，因為妻子已經盡了責任。但是如果妻子不順服，無論是對或錯，審判的時候，妻子還是要挨揍的！

人的心思就是戰場！人最先被打敗仗的，通常就是他的思想。當負面思想告訴你，夢想不可能實現，你的身體不可能康復，你不可能戒掉壞習慣；不要讓自己陷入灰心，反要把它當做一個提醒，為夢想即將成真感謝神。換言之，當負面念頭浮現時，要轉而說：「天父，謝謝你正在動工，謝謝你正在為我改變環境。」我們祈求之後，就開始轉為讚美神。

馬利亞對神有強烈的「委身和信靠」，當耶穌對她說：「婦人，我與妳有甚麼相干？我的時候還沒有到。」這話很難聽，馬利亞卻大有信心的對佣人說：「祂告訴你們甚麼，你們就做甚麼。」神對我們說甚麼，我們就做甚麼。神的話，不管理解或不理解，都要執行。而且當你越執行，你就越能理解；你越理解，就越樂意執行，就越經驗神話語的真實。
