Won Nothing Podcast

Amanda Goodwin

This podcast is far from your typical podcast. Beware the faint of heart, and welcome the macabre and the morbid. Each episode will feature a different human victim, whether they succumbed to an animal attack, were murdered by another human, or met their grisly fate in a freak accident. We will learn more about the victim's life and death in each episode, and learn a bit about why or how they were... more

  • Just OK

They really need to get to their stories within 10 minutes. Maybe set an alarm? It’s usually 30 min. Likeable presenters so this is intended as constructive feedback. Errors: e.g., night of the grizzlies, the Dr. did not say Julie would RIP right beside her. Listen to Tooth & Claw or NPAD. If they edited and read up a bit more this would be good. Come on folks.

  • I like the banter

Amanda and Dayvid spend a good amount of time on banter and I really enjoy that. I think they’re hilarious and genuine and it feels like I’m having a conversation with friends (although they never respond to my witty interjections). This is the pod I turn to when I’m feeling anxious or down because it just feels like a warm fuzzy sweater, a hot cup of tea, and a conversation with a couple amazing friends.

  • Hard pass

I wanted to learn more about the Marius Els story so I downloaded the Won Nothing episode (first time listener).

At well over an hour I assumed we’d be diggin deep into the story but nope- I had to fast forward through 52 mins numbing minutes of these idiots chatting and exhibiting their ‘cleverness’. I didn’t find their banter interesting, fresh, or actually clever at all. And this generation’s obsession with casual cursing… don’t even get me started.

I didn’t capture any of the hosts names, b... more

  • Less than one star

I found this podcast because I was looking for one on a specific case.

It took the host 15 minutes to actually get to the case than after about 2 minutes of saying Um an uh and stumbling over her words she trails off and starts talking about herself again!

    No thanks!!

If she wants to talk about herself then she should get a podcast talking about herself and not pretend to have a true crime podcast.

If I could give zero stars I would.

  • 28 minutes of banter

I don’t mind banter or back and fourth. But 28 minutes of skipping forwards to find the actual story was too much.

  • Amazing all-around pod!

Love this podcast, great and comedic banter but also very well done deep dives on the cases. I also really enjoy when they have guests on, the red flag green flag game is fun!

If you want something that is fun and informative and you’re interested in true crime, this is the one to check out!

  • The Truth

This show is a laugh riot! Love the interaction with Amanda and Dayvid, and the guests they have on are usually great. But it’s the attention to detail when it comes to the cases they cover. I like that it’s not just true crime, there are stories on animal attacks and the occasional bizarre death. Amanda is wonderful! She delivers stories like a champ. Also, I VOTE FOR DAYVID!
