  • Not all providers are clueless in nutrition

Generally enjoy the show, guests and topics. Recent episode seemed to categorize all physicians in the same category. Many of us have now taken additional training in longevity and nutrition, which is readily available. I work in conjunction with a registered dietitian at times. I regularly check bloodwork for patients and often it returns completely normal and we need to refocus on the basics. Just like all registered dietitians are not created equal, I don’t believe that all physicians are tot... more

As a supplement to using the WHOOP band, the podcast adds significant value. It helps me better understand the data I see in the app, providing context around metrics like recovery, strain, sleep, and long-term health trends.

  • Pushing Fraudulent Product

Don’t care how good the podcasts are, they are pushing a fraudulent product. I literally had to cancel my credit card for fraud protection because WHOOP continued to try to bill my card well over a year after I had cancelled my membership. Their “customer service” consists of a non-bypassable AI bot with no humans involved.

Do not believe anything this company says! They have no word and just care about $$$. They played the founding members and recently the 4.0 users. This is just a scam.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How To Protect Your Brain Health and Avoid Burnout with Neuroscientist Dr. Tommy Wood
Q: What motivated you to write a book about brain health and cognitive stimulation?
I wanted to create a resource that is evidence-based, accessible, and practical, filling a gap between overly simplistic self-help and dense academic texts, with a focus on actions people can take to influence their cognitive future.
Scaling Access to Healthcare: The Future of AI and Wearables with Dr. Trishan Panch
Q: What should clinicians do now to prepare for these changes in the next five years?
Clinicians should educate themselves on AI fundamentals, start experimenting with AI tools, learn vibe coding to prototype patient-centered solutions, and push for integration of AI in workflows while maintaining professional judgment and patient safety.
Scaling Access to Healthcare: The Future of AI and Wearables with Dr. Trishan Panch
Q: Can wearables and AI replace the need for doctors, or is there still a role for clinicians?
AI can handle many population-level and data-heavy aspects, especially for triage and continuous monitoring, but there remains a pivotal role for clinicians in judgment, patient relationships, and complex decision-making; the system should augment, not replace, human clinicians.
Bert Kreischer on Getting Healthier Without Losing the Fun
Q: How did Bert come to rely on his WHOOP data in everyday life?
He describes wearing WHOOP constantly, using its metrics to guide sleep, recovery, and even day-to-day decisions like hydration and workouts, which helped him improve health while maintaining his energetic public persona.
HRV-CV: WHOOP Research Study Reveals The Longevity Metric Everyone Needs To Be Tracking
Q: What practical advice can help listeners lower HRV-CV or improve autonomic resilience?
To support a lower HRV-CV, focus on consistent recovery and resilience-building behaviors: reduce alcohol consumption, train with appropriate load and taper strategies, prioritize sleep duration and especially sleep consistency, and manage overall recovery through structured rest and nutrition; the idea is to align daily load with your body's recovery capacity.
