Where I Want to Be isn’t just a Disney podcast—it’s a little bit of magic, too! I’ve learned so much from Virginia and her guests, and it’s made a real difference in how I plan my own visits.

What makes this podcast special is the way it transports you through each trip report. Whether you're planning your next visit or just missing the magic, it brings the parks to life and reminds you that even the most magical moments often come with a few unexpected pivots.

  • What Disney Blues?

Thank you Virginia! Your podcast is the perfect remedy for the Disney blues. The pre and post trip reports give great insight into the intricacies of trip planning for all sorts of adventures (solo trips, celebrations, family trips, adult trips, and RunDisney too!) I'm no runner, but have taken this podcast with me as a walking companion for many, many, many miles. Trip reports are my favorite form of Disney podcasting, and this one never disappoints.

Post-Trip Report: Kelly’s “Bonus” Summer Trip (May 2026)
Q: How did the Hollywood Studios rope drop go this time, and how did it compare to past experiences?
The rope drop was staged in a way that allowed them to reach Galaxy's Edge quickly, letting them ride Rise of the Resistance soon after the park opened, which felt smoother and more efficient than in the past.
Pre-Trip Report: Anna’s Scotland to WDW Holiday (April 2026)
Q: Are you staying on-site at Riverside, and what kind of room are you hoping for?

Post-Trip Report: Chris’ Disney Wish Come True (April 2026)
Q: What stood out about Vinny's kids club experience and the ports/islands?
Vinny registered at open-house on the first day, enjoyed the secure club environment, and gradually warmed to activities; Castaway Cay and Lookout Key offered very different water environments—Castaway Cay being calmer and regulated, Lookout Key more beachy and active, with ocean water and potential rip currents.
Post-Trip Report: Chris’ Disney Wish Come True (April 2026)
Q: How were the ship shows and dining experiences on the Disney Wish?
Shows varied; sail-away was a standout, with a review-style production like Disney Sea, and Arendelle impressed for its live performance and food; World of Marvel was less favored due to heavy use of screens, while 1923 dining delivered solid traditional fare and attentive service. Vinny was less enthusiastic about some kid-focused activities, but overall dining and entertainment were highly praised, especially the immersive experiences and character interactions.
