  • The most important conversation we can have today

Considering how hard it is to have a normal conversation about important topics, this podcast is necessary to help us all do better at disagreeing. Memes and 3-minute radio broadcasts are diluting what should be conversations into real, civil discussions. Civil society is the third, and I'd argue, most important, pillar of democracy. If you're worried about the future of our country, please listen. It's helpful as well as being fun and interesting.

Q: What was the alternative you were stressing?
You can't say that people should be researched; it's not easy to say people can simply research their way into knowing the best candidate.
"They" and "Them": Understanding Conspiracies and the Need to Believe (re-release from 2024)
Q: What's the lesson for you?
The lesson is that it's important to maintain boundaries in conversations, especially with individuals holding entrenched beliefs.
"They" and "Them": Understanding Conspiracies and the Need to Believe (re-release from 2024)
Q: What's that experience like?
The experience is frustrating because it feels as though one's efforts to argue rationally are ineffective, leading one to question the boundaries of civil discourse.
