  • The ick

I really love this podcast…I’ve listened to it for years. But today, and in the past I really get the ick when Ed mentions the reactions of girls to the Beatles. Please stop. As a woman, it’s really so offensive. The tone of Ed’s voice sounds really creepy on subjects like this. Please let someone else remark if it must be remarked on.

2026.17 Review - The Hunt for the Lost Bass and the "Boys of Dungeon Lane" listening party
Q: How did the Lost Bass tale begin and what sparked the search?
The hosts trace the origin to Paul McCartney's own interest and publicized concerns about the missing Hofner bass, followed by a multi-year investigative arc that involved roadies, ambulance drivers, and fans who believed they had leads, ultimately leading to an official recovery.
2026.02 Duane Eddy, Ravi Shankar, Sylvia Griffin and Billy J. Kramer?
Q: What was your goal in recording the album?
I never thought of it as a theme, you know. I just wanted to make an album of good songs...
2026.02 Duane Eddy, Ravi Shankar, Sylvia Griffin and Billy J. Kramer?
Q: What was it like being back in Abbey Road after all this time?
It was very emotional to sort of be on the spot, think to myself, this is where I sang...
2025.46 A Love Letter to the Beatles (Simon Weitzman)
Q: How did you approach collaboration with these fans and selection of these fans?
Weitzman explains that they built friendships with fans through years of involvement in the Beatles community and drew from their rich stories to highlight the evolution of fandom in the documentary.
2025.09 FAMSF - Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm (Sally Martin Katz)
Q: What do you want visitors to learn or take away from the exhibition?
I want them to see McCartney's artistic contributions holistically, not just as a musician, but as a talented photographer who captures a pivotal moment in cultural history.
