Anxiously await new material.. new season.
These guys have tremendous subject knowledge, excellent rapport, unending passion, and are certainly accolade worthy spokesmen for all things Beatles. Most informative, immersive, and always fun, you’ll be putting aside your other podcasts to binge episode after episode!
Since the late 60’s I’ve enjoyed listening to the Beatles. Though I have felt fond of the musicians I’ve not considered reading a book or listening to a podcast about them. Then I stumbled upon “nothing is real” and can’t stop listening. Hosts Jason and Stephen are a pleasure to listen to. Full of facts, history and insight. They often disagree but never on facts and always civilly.
In many ways, this is a really good podcast if you want to hear a discussion about Beatle facts, Beatle trivia and Beatle history. However, there are often references to things that only the people having the discussion understand and also they talk about songs and different things, but never play any cuts from that music and if you're not familiar with it, the topic in the discussion becomes a bit meaningless. A potentially great podcast that has some real weaknesses.
I’ve dived deep into ALL Beatles podcasts. And this is the best for quiet erudition, gentle humour, and deep deep knowledge. As they say as their lead-in, we think we know the Beatles…..
